He certainly has the look of a 'Brian Burke Player....'

With today’s earlier post about Mike Komisarek and the possibility of him being  more moveable than perhaps some fans and media imagine, it seems like a good time to mention this rumor making its way around the internet.  Granted, it is just an internet rumor and could be (and likely is) completely untrue – but there is nothing wrong with generating a little discussion.  The pieces of this deal have all popped up in the trade conversation before, and for that reason, something like this actually makes a little more sense than your standard rumor.  Normally this kind of chatter always has star players headed to big markets, but this one is a little more modest. Getting Their Ducks In A Row

ESPN is reporting this morning that the Anaheim Ducks may be on the verge of a major shake-up.  They have claimed victory in only one of their past ten starts and seem to be struggling all over the ice.  The slow start is not uncommon for the Ducks, but at this point the slump is getting embarassing.  Even the Columbus Blue Jackets have nearly caught up to them in the standings.  It will take a significant change to shock the Ducks out of their apathetic play.

The fingers first point at the coach, as they always do in professional sports.  However, Randy Carlyle has been nothing but consistent during his time with the Ducks, and the franchise has shown him remarkable loyalty to this point.  On several occassions, he has managed to right the ship after poor stretches, and he does have a Stanley Cup on his resume.
